Parental Leave Maternity leave encompasses a provision of 14 weeks wherein mothers receive 66.7% of their daily earnings after a five-day waiting period, all paid through social security.
Paternity leave grants fathers one paid day off within the initial five days following the birth of the child.

The maximum length of a workday should be 10 hours. In other words, a standard workweek in Hong Kong cannot exceed 60 hours. Any work done beyond these limits falls under overtime and is liable for compensation according to the stipulated guidelines.
